What is CaPE?

  • In October 2003, legendary anonymous recording engineer/blogger Mixerman has come up with a great idea to help kick off a new Internet music forum. The concept was to form teams of musicians, songwriters, mixers, mastering engineers and producers to create fully completed songs with a three month deadline.
  • CaPE is an Experiment in music production, not a contest. The knowledge gained by completing a finished song by the deadline and dealing with the problems of time, distance, and different musical views is the reward.
  • The 3rd iteration of CaPE started Sep. 1st 2005 with 15 international teams of music industry insiders and undiscovered talent. John was assigned to Team Galactic as Point Man and Vocals. Read more about Team Galactic including all the other extremely talented members.
